Monday 4/13-Tuesday 4/14

Monday:

Language Arts: Assigned on Wonders: Listening Comprehension “I Am A Swimmer”

-Listen to the poem, it is a  free-verse poem

-A free-verse poem is:

  • expresses a poet’s thoughts or feelings about something
  • does not use a fixed meter or rhyming pattern
  • may have stanzas, but line length may vary

The words in a poem are carefully chosen to help the reader visualize, or imagine, what the speaker is experiencing. By visualizing, the reader is better able to understand the poem’s message.

-After you listen to the story draw a quick sketch of what you visualized while listening to the story. We can share these tomorrow on our zoom :)!!
