Writing

Introduction:
-Start with a strong lead/hook. Grab readers attention!
  • Can start of with a question
  • Or an interesting fact about your topic
-The next couple sentences should include an introduction to your topic. What is your topic? Is there background knowledge the reader should know before reading your research? Tell a little bit about your chosen topic.
-The last sentence is your thesis statement. It should be a sentence that includes the three main ideas that the reader is going to read more about in each body paragraphs. REMEMBER: do not write the words, "I am going to tell you."

For simple example:
The three basic types of rock found on earth are igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic.
-Each of my body paragraphs would be about one type rock.
