Thank you for making Monday a great first day of school. We had the normal hiccups and some frustrating traffic, but many happy students and parents. Over the next few days and weeks, schedules will settle down, traffic will improve, and anxiety will become excitement about learning!
Reminders about traffic...
Nothing is more important than the safety of students.
Be patient and kind.
Please follow traffic signs and directions from staff members.
Pull forward as far as you can before stopping for your child to enter or exit the car.
All children enter and exit the car on the curb side.
Kindergarten students should be picked up at the bottom of the kindergarten ramp.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders are picked up in front of the school.
4th and 5th graders with younger siblings are to be picked up in front of the school.
4th and 5th graders who do not have younger siblings can be picked up behind the library.
TK, kindergarten and first grade teachers will meet with parents at Back to School Night on Thursday, September 1, at 6:00 PM. Booster Club, PTA, PEF, and I will have brief presentations in the MPR beginning at 7:00. We will follow the same schedule for 2nd/3rd Grade Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 7 and 4th/5th grade on Thursday, September 8.
