They also use a flute like instrument called the Shakuhachi made out of Bamboo. Bamboo is a common material used to make flutes, etc. It is actually a grass! Instead, fireflies are flying beetles, since they have two pairs of wings. Fireflies live mostly where the weather is warm and humid. In the United States, many are found east of the Rocky Mountains.
